Our library has an automated card library system for your convenience in research and finding what you need.
We are a member of the Blair County Library System
We Have Access Pa Power Library available to you at the library as well as on your website.
You may renew your books by phone or email. Just give us your name and the title of the book you would like to renew. The only time you would not be able to do this would be if there is a pending hold on the book.
You can PLACE A RESERVE on any item that is checked out. You will be notified when the item is returned.
If we do not have the book you are looking for we can borrow it from another library through INTERLIBRARY LOAN. This is a free service available to library patrons in good standing
Our library has a large selection of LARGE PRINT and AUDIO books to offer our patrons.
The library has DVD's and VIDEO movies for rent. The price is $1.00 per day except on Saturday when you are able to keep the movies until the following Monday.
COMPUTERS AND INTERNET ACCESS are available for patron use. Internet access is also available to our patrons. Certain guidelines must be followed and all patrons must sign an internet agreement. Children under 18 must have a parent or guardian come in and sign the agreement for them. All patrons under fifth grade must be accompanied by their parent or guardian while using the Internet.
LOAN PERIODS: Best sellers, audio-books, paperbacks and periodicals can be checked out for 2 weeks. All other adult and juvenile books can be checked out for 4 weeks. Patrons may renew books one time unless the book is on a reserve list. Books borrowed from any library in our system may be returned to our library. A BOOK RETURN is located at the main entrance of the library for returning books when the library is closed. DO NOT PLACE MOVIES in the book return. Patrons will be held responsible for the replacement cost of a movie if it is damaged in the book return.
OVERDUE FINES: Fines are as follows: $.10 per day on all adult materials; $.05 per day on all juvenile materials; $.05 per day on paperbacks and periodicals; $1.00 per day on all movies. If materials are lost or damaged, the patron must pay the retail price of the lost or damaged item.
GIFTS AND MEMORIALS: You may give memorials or honor gifts to the library. The cost to purchase these books is $25.00. A Memorial or Honor Plate is placed in the front of the book before it circulates. The library also has a memorial fund and any amount is accepted into the fund. The library has a Friend of the Library organization which is very active and donates approximately $4,000 per year to the library to purchase books and related materials that the library needs to help meet the needs of its patrons. You may join this organization for $5 per year. Please contact the librarian for more information.
