Meet Mrs. Blackburn
Hello! My name is Lisa Blackburn, and I teach fourth grade at NBC!
I'm excited for another year in fourth grade!
I grew up in Snake Spring Valley on a dairy farm. I attended Snake Spring Elementary School as a young girl and graduated from Bedford High School. After high school graduation, I attended Elizabethtown College where I received my teaching degree.
I began substitute teaching in many local districts including NBC. Although Northern was not my home district at the time, it was by far my favorite place to substitute. So naturally, after subbing for three years (2 years day-to-day and 1 year long-term), I was thrilled to be hired here at NBC! After I was hired, I began working towards my masters in Curriculum and Instruction which I acquired from Gannon University. This will be my sixteenth year of teaching fourth grade!
I live outside of Woodbury with my husband Justin and two boys. As you can see, we are all now NBC Panthers! Nate is eleven and will be heading to the middle school this year. Owen is eight and will be close by in third grade. Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do!
