Meet Mrs. Frederick
Welcome NBC parents and students! Thanks for taking the time to check out our class website! My name is Megan Frederick, and I am the gifted support teacher at Northern Bedford Elementary. I also provide enrichment and reading instruction to students in kindergarten - 5th grade. Let me tell you a little bit about myself!
I grew up in Martinsburg, PA and graduated from Central High School in 2006. I then attended Penn State Altoona and earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education in 2009. I also have certifications in middle level math and reading. I earned my Master's degree in Reading and a Reading Specialist certification from Wilkes University. I taught kindergarten for six years and served as the reading specialist for one year. This school year will be my second year providing gifted support and enrichment to the elementary students. I love having the opportunity to work with students of all ages and watching them enjoy learning!
My husband, Mark, and I live on our dairy farm outside of Martinsburg. We have two little boys, Trent and Jack. Trent is four, and Jack is two. They both love trucks, tractors, and helping their daddy on the farm. In my spare time, I enjoy working in my flower beds, shopping, and spending time with my family. I also have lots of wonderful nieces and nephews: Mason, Juleah, Maddie, Lexi, Bryce, and Aiden. They are lots of fun!
