Elementary Long-term Substitute Position
Northern Bedford County School District is accepting applications for an Early Childhood/Elementary Teacher. Long-term substitute position beginning on or around April 1, 2019. To be considered all applicants must submit cover letter, resume, standard teaching application, current federal and state criminal history and child abuse clearances, valid PA teaching certification in early childhood N-3 and elementary education K-6, PRAXIS scores, college transcripts, and three letters of professional reference. Strong knowledge of appropriate PA Standards; strong classroom management skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, independent, but willing to work as part of a team. Day-to-day substitutes in the instructional assistant, food service and custodial/maintenance departments. Interested applicants should send a completed support staff application, letter of interest, resume and 3 letters of reference for consideration. Current federal, state and child abuse clearances, Act 24 and 168 documentation are required at hire. Instructional assistants must have an associate's degree or a high school diploma and the successful mastery of "No Child Left Behind" instructional assistant test.
