  • PSU STEM Group

Click on title above to see more pictures. “Northern Bedford Co. Middle School was selected as one of only two schools to participate in the first Penn State Altoona Girls in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and the Arts program on Friday, 11/3/17. This pilot program focuses on exposing junior high girls who are exceptional in math and science to the world of opportunities available to them in the Technology and Engineering industries of the STEM fields. Girls participating in this program will experience real-world applications of computer science, data analytics, and engineering, will get hands-on with puzzles and experiments performed with faculty members, and will tour the campus engineering labs. They will also start a project proposal process that will carry them through to the spring and summer events, where they will start designing/creating their own STEM-related projects.”
