The Northern Bedford County School District is seeking a candidate for the following position for 2017/18: Special Education Personal Care Aide to work off campus up to 35 hours per week with duties of: implementation of IEP, toileting, dressing, behavior management and self-help skills. Interested applicants must have an associate’s degree or a high school diploma and the successful mastery of an instructional assistant test. Position requirements include 12 month’s verifiable experience providing personal care, current CPR certification and Non-Violent Intervention training. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, be capable of physically assisting students with special needs as required (positioning, lifting, transferring, restraining, etc.), and 20 hours per year of professional development.
